What We Do

Additional Community Service

  • Provide emergency assistance to local families on a case-by-case basis during times of hardship
  • Provide swim lessons and water safety lesson for community children
  • Host Free Swim Day at Meadow Vista Pool each summer
  • Partner with other community organizations by volunteering for events such as Skeet Reese Fishing Derby, Pioneer Day, Celebrity Chef, and Oktoberfest
  • Support our local schools by assisting at the Sierra Hills Book Faire and in the Weimar Hills library

We hold a Pancake Breakfast in November at Placer Hills School to raise funds for the Christmas Basket Program.  The Meadow Vista Lions Club prepare a delicious meal for all to enjoy.

As part of our Christmas Basket program, we hold an annual Toy Drive.  Each child age 12 and under receives a toy. Family members age 13 - 17 receive a gift card for the purchase of new shoes.

We collect non-perishable food donations from the community to help fill the Christmas Baskets by supporting the canned food drives at our local schools, Sierra Hills School and Weimar Hills School  and by placing a community drop-off barrel outside of our local Holiday Market.

Our biggest project is our yearly Christmas Basket Program which has several components. Each year we supply area families in need with the provisions to make a holiday dinner. We also provide a two-week supply of food to last families through the school holiday period.
